One of the first sure signs that winter’s over and spring is finally here, tulips are beginning to bloom throughout Chicagoland. Tulips usually bloom 1-2 weeks when the temperatures remain around 45-55 degrees. However, if the temperature rise too much the tulips may only bloom 1-2 days and then wither from the heat.

Kuipers Family Farm
Maple Park, IL
Over the past few years, they have planted nearly 500,000 tulip bulbs across 7 acres of the farm. Admission to their Midwest Tulip Fest includes many activities across the farm to make a day out of the adventure.

Richardson Adventure Farm
Spring Grove, IL
Over 1 million blooms altogether including 30 different tulip varieties and stunning daffodils planted. Many activities are planned for their Tulip Festival and take advantage of free parking.
