          Discover Naperville: Monthly Local Events – September

          Summer may be coming to a close, but the fall fun is just beginning! Here’s a round-up of some of the Naperville events going on in September. Have fun here as well as at the local sunflower farms, apple orchards and corn mazes! We hope to see you around the neighborhood!

           

          Downtown Naperville Sculptures

          June 3 – September 12  | Downtown Naperville

          Come see the painted DOG Sculptures in Downtown Naperville this summer, starting the first week of June until September. The Dog Days of Summer … here we come! The Ville Team is so excited to share our 2026 sculpture with you – Lucky.

          Look for 24 DOGS in varying shapes and sizes and 1 CAT sculpture in various locations downtown. Use the map to find them all!

           

          5th Avenue Farmer’s Market

          Every Saturday, June through October | 7a-12noon | Fifth Avenue Station Naperville

          Build a farm-to-table meal with a plethora of locally grown food. You’ll also find an array products, performances and events, making this a great destination for the whole family! The Naperville Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 7am–noon, June through October.

          Naper Settlement Farmers Market

          Every Tuesday through September 22 | Naper Settlement | 3-7p | Free

          Join us every Tuesday from 3-7 PM through September 22 for a fun-filled afternoon with FREE live music, food trucks, and local shopping, all set in the museum’s stunning outdoor park! Don’t miss our FREE hands-on demonstrations and classes that explore everything from homemade skincare to backyard chickens! Plus, the chance to explore the museum’s captivating “We the People: Naperville and the American Story” exhibit and historic buildings, all with no admission fee!

          The Last Fling

          Friday, September 4 – Monday, September 7 | Jackson Ave, near the Riverwalk

          The Naperville Jaycees’ Last Fling is a family-friendly community festival which takes place over Labor Day Weekend near Downtown Naperville and, for many, is a fun way to say farewell to summer! The Last Fling offers a wide variety of attractions for all ages to enjoy including: music, food and beverage vendors, a family-fun area, a carnival, unique special events, a business expo, a parade and more!

          LEGO Build & Talk

          Saturday, September 5 – Monday, September 7 | DuPage Children’s Museum

          Created for children ages 6–9 and their caregivers, LEGO Build & Talk invites you to build, play, and discover through engaging LEGO activities that spark conversations about gaming, technology, and healthy digital habits. Siblings are welcome to join in the fun, making it an experience the whole family can enjoy together.

          Last Fling Labor Day Parade

          Monday, September 7 | 10a-12p | Centennial Beach

          The Last Fling offers a wide variety of attractions for all ages to enjoy including a parade on Monday, September 7. The parade steps off from Naperville North High School and goes south on Mill, east on Jefferson and south on Main. Can’t make it? You can follow along with the parade locally at Xfinity Channel 17 or simulcast & video-on-demand from anywhere in the world via nctv17.org.

          September 11 Remembrance Ceremony

          Friday, September 11 | 5:45p

          Residents are invited to attend Naperville’s annual September 11 Remembrance Ceremony honoring those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks and subsequent war. The ceremony will feature a performance by the Naperville Municipal Band, participation from the city’s police and fire departments, and remarks from city officials and local organization representatives.

           

          Naperville Sister Cities International Festival

          Saturday, September 11 | Naperville Central Park | 12-8p

          This family‑friendly event features international food, live performances, cultural demonstrations, artisan vendors, children’s activities and community organizations representing countries from around the world. More than 800 attendees join us each year to celebrate diversity, connection and global friendship.

          Downtown Naperville Fall Wine Walk

          Sunday, September 13 | 12-5p | $60/person

          Explore Downtown Naperville while enjoying 13 carefully selected wine tastings at participating local businesses. Tickets include a commemorative wine glass and event map, a midway stop with wine and a charcuterie cup, and a final celebration featuring wine, a bubbly toast and small bites. A portion of proceeds benefits the Naperville Woman’s Club.

          Naperville Irish Fest

          Friday, September 18 & Saturday, September 19 | Central Park

          The West Suburban Irish invite you to celebrate Irish culture, community, and tradition at the 6th Annual Naperville Irish Fest, returning to Central Park in downtown Naperville on September 18-19, 2026. Enjoy two days of live music, Irish dancing, cultural exhibits, delicious food, family activities, and plenty of Irish fun.

          Riverwalk Fine Art Fair

          The 41st Annual Riverwalk Fine Art Fair in Naperville, Illinois is scheduled for September 19–20, 2026, featuring over 100 juried artists, original works of art, and free public admission. Presented annually by the Naperville Art League.
