No beach? No problem! This Spring Break, DuPage Children’s Museum (DCM) is bringing the beach to YOU! Dive into hands-on, interactive fun where kids can dig, build, splash, and soar.

Spring is Here – Free Nature Discovery Days
Now – Friday, April 3 | Knoch Knolls Nature Center | Free
Embrace the season of spring by learning about spring animals and plants, mimic a frog’s call, match birds to their nests, check out a salamanders life cycle, see if you can recognize floral scents, make a spring craft, go on an outdoor scavenger hunt and more! Designed for ages 4-10, but all ages welcome.

Origins of Naperville Walking Tour
Thursday, April 2 | Naper Settlement | 5:30p | $15/person
Listen to stories from Naperville’s founding to the generosity of Caroline Martin Mitchell on a walking tour of the west side of downtown Naperville. Tours last approximately 60 minutes and cover about two miles.

BLOCK 59: Reptile Show with Crosstown Exotics
Friday, April 3 | 4-5pm | 404 Illinois Rte. 59 | Free
Get ready for an unforgettable wildlife encounter on the green! Crosstown Exotics is a traveling reptile and bug show known for its interactive, educational entertainment, bringing audiences face‑to‑face with an incredible lineup of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. Their presentations feature a diverse mix of “cold‑blooded ambassadors” from giant tortoises and impressive pythons to frogs, lizards, and amazing insects.

The Great Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 4 | 9am | Frontier Park Sports Complex
A cherished Naperville tradition returns as the Jaycees scatter 14,000 eggs across the four ball fields at Frontier Park Sports Complex. Kids are divided into age groups (0–2, 3–4, 5–6, and 7–8 years), and at 9:00 a.m. the horn sounds and the scramble begins! Special prizes and a visit from the Easter Bunny round out the fun.
Free and open to the community — no reservations required. Donations welcome. Parking is limited.

Spring Choral Finale! Concert
Friday, April 10 | Wentz Concert Hall | 7pm | $7
Presented by North Central College, the final choral event of the season, the Spring Choral Finale! Concert is Friday, April 10. It will feature Concert Choir, Chorale, and Chamber Singers in a wide variety of repertoire and a salute to graduating seniors. Ramona M. Wis, conductor, and Robert Saul, collaborative pianist.

Free Shredding Event
Saturday, April 11 | 8-11am | Centennial Beach Parking Lot
The Naperville Police Department and Naperville Park District invite you to take advantage of free on-site shredding services in the Centennial Beach parking lot on Saturday, April 11. Shredding sensitive documents can help protect you against identity theft. Drop off up to two banker-size boxes of bags of documents to be shredded and recycled; up to 10-lb per box; no shredded paper; no metal or plastic binder rings or clips. Pull up to the trucks in the parking lot, and volunteers will unload your boxes! Shredding will only be available until the trucks are full.

Concert Winds Spring Concert

The North Central Concert Winds performs their final concert of the 2025-2026 season. The band will perform traditional and contemporary band music. The concert will celebrate the retirement of Dr. Van Oyen after 33 years of directing the Concert Winds.

Family STEM Night – Build-A-Palooza

Use chomp-saws to build your own anything! Use cardboard and recycled materials to build your own gameboard, building, putt putt course, and more to take home! This program is recommended for children ages 5 to 11 and their caretaker.
