          Downtown Naperville Painted Sculptures

          June 3 – September 1  | Downtown Naperville

          Come see the painted DOG Sculptures in Downtown Naperville this summer, starting the first week of June until September. The Dog Days of Summer … here we come! The Ville Team is so excited to share our 2026 sculpture with you – Lucky. Learn more about Lucky and submit your guess as to how many coins were used to bring her to life here.

          Look for 24 DOGS in varying shapes and sizes and 1 CAT sculpture in various locations downtown. Use the map to find them all! VOTE for your favorite sculpture here.

           

          5th Avenue Farmer’s Market

          Every Saturday, June through October | 7a-12noon | Fifth Avenue Station Naperville

          Build a farm-to-table meal with a plethora of locally grown food. You’ll also find an array products, performances and events, making this a great destination for the whole family! The Naperville Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 7am–noon, June through October.

          Family STEM Night – Solar Science

          Become an astronomer and Investigate the largest star in the galaxy…the sun! Engineer your own rocket and launch it higher and higher, and then check out some solar flares with the Naperville Astrological Society. This program is recommended for children ages 5 to 11 and their caretaker.

          Gettysburg Day

          Take a fun and engaging step back in time to commemorate the 163rd anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg at Naper Settlement’s Gettysburg Day.

          Experience life in Naperville during the crucial summer of 1863 with hands-on activities and educational programs that explore America’s Civil War history. Meet President Abraham Lincoln and experience one of the most famous speeches in American history, The Gettysburg Address, inside Naper Settlement’s historic Civil War-era Chapel. Learn about popular trends and the newest fashion inventions of the 1860s including cage crinoline (or hoop skirts) at the Civil War Fashion Show. Nurture your child’s curiosity and love of history with a hands-on civil war drilling program (pre-registration for children ages 6-13 is required. Drilling includes the use of wooden toy muskets), sword drill on the Village Green, and the opportunity to make fireworks in a jar together at the new IDNR STEM Learning Lab!

          Naperville Community Fireworks Show

          Saturday, July 4 | Frontier Sports Complex, 3380 Cedar Glade Dr

          The Naperville Park District and the City of Naperville are co-hosting a free community celebration in honor of the United States’ 250th anniversary.

          Admission and parking are free, and attendees can enjoy the fireworks from within Frontier Sports Complex or from their vehicles. Parking is available at the complex and the adjacent Neuqua Valley High School (2360 95th St.). Prior to the fireworks, the Naperville Municipal Band will perform patriotic classics at 7:30 p.m. at the Wagner Pavilion, located within the 95th Street Community Plaza, next to the 95th Street Library.

          River Sounds – Opening Night

          Tuesday, July 7 | 6:30-9p | Naperville Jaycees WiFi Park

          River Sounds is a free outdoor music series set along the Riverwalk in Naperville, bringing live music to the water on summer evenings.

          Taking place on Tuesday nights—July 7, 14, 21, 28 and August 4, 11—each evening begins at 6:30 PM at the Jaycees WiFi Park near the Naperville Municipal Center and Water Street district. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and settle in along the lawn or riverwalk to enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere featuring a mix of professional Chicago musicians and local talent.

          At approximately 8:00 PM, the experience shifts as musicians move onto the water, performing from a floating stage just west of the covered bridge—allowing the music to carry across the river and transform the setting in a simple, unexpected way.

          The Bubble Show

          A giant bubble show like no other with kids in bubbles, bubbles bigger than cars, and more! This spectacular show will take place outdoors at Block 59.

          Lazy Dog will also pop by the Bubble Show with a whole lineup of extra fun including temporary tattoos, stickers, creative coloring activities, and sweet cookie treats!

          3rd Annual Water Street Fine Art & Fine Craft Show

          Sunday, July 12 | 10a-5p | Along Water and Webster Streets in Downtown Naperville

          The show highlights local artists from the Chicago and suburban area to exhibit fine art and fine crafts in a variety of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, fiber, graphics, mixed media, jewelry, photography, pottery, metalwork, glass, wood, digital art work, glass, and digital art.

          Park After Dark!

          Park After Dark is a free, family-friendly arts weekend at the Naperville Community Concert Center in Central Park, taking place July 17–19.

          Built around the idea of reinvention, the weekend features three distinct evenings of live performance—from a fresh take on the music of Paul Simon, to a celebration of the female icons of the ’50s and ’60s, to a night of soulful grooves, improvisation, and genre-blending sounds inspired by artists like Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles.

          The Concert Center itself will be transformed into a more intimate, immersive environment through creative stage design and lighting, inviting audiences to experience the space in a completely new way.
