Hinsdale
Hinsdale, Illinois is an affluent Chicago suburb located mostly in DuPage County but a small portion lies in Cook County. The family-friendly setting and small-town charm Hinsdale is known for is only a 20 minute train ride from downtown Chicago.
Along with an excellent public school system, Hinsdale has a quaint downtown full of boutiques, shops and restaurants. The central business district is even on the National Register of Historic Places. Around town, you’ll also find the Graue Mill – a water-powered grist mill that was originally erected in 1852. Now a museum, it is one of two operating water-powered gristmills in Illinois.
