          Homes.com – Chicago’s biggest deals in January 2026

…from the article Chicago’s biggest deals in January: Buyers score mansions of two former Bulls players and three other luxury homes by Homes.com.

The third-priciest sale in the Chicago metro in January was a 2007-built home in Naperville.

          Address: 21 Forest Ave., Naperville

Seller’s agents: Bridget Salela and Walter Burrell, Coldwell Banker

          List price: Approximately $3.4 million

          Sales price: $3.87 million

          Square footage: 7,375

          Bedrooms: 5

          Bathrooms: 7.5

          Year built: 2007

          Lot size: 0.4 acres

The sale price, 14% above asking, encompasses the additional sale of a side lot, said agent Bridget Salela. Still, it’s one of Naperville’s priciest sales in recent years — beaten only by an $8.08 million property that closed in 2023 and a $7.55 million home that sold in 2024.

“Closing one of Naperville’s most expensive homes in history is a clear reflection of the extraordinary demand we’re seeing at the top of the local market,” Salela said in a statement.

Barczi Builders built the mansion for the sellers in a Tudor style. Each bedroom includes an attached bathroom and walk-in closet, while the primary suite comes with a steam shower, copper tub and double-sided fireplace.

The basement, which spans nearly 4,000 square feet, features a theater, workout room, wine cellar and bar. The home also has a soundproof music room.

It originally listed for $3.99 million in 2024.

It went under contract on Nov. 26, 2025, after spending 41 days on the market since re-listing, according to Homes.com data.
