Chicago Tribune – Naperville’s historic Willard Scott House sold to local real estate team for use as their new office

Naperville’s historic Willard Scott House has been sold to a local real estate team.

Despite fears that a private sale would risk demolition or, at least, alterations to the 158-year-old structure, the new owners say they want to take care of — not change — the property.

The Willard Scott House will now serve as the office for The Ville Team of Coldwell Banker Realty. The property’s sale closed on Friday, according to a news release. The office will be run by brokers and partners Walt Burrell and Bridget Salela.

The Ville Team, currently located at 1212 S. Naper Blvd., will likely move into the downtown space at 101 N. Washington St. sometime later this summer, Burrell and Salela said. The new location, they say, is a dream come true.
