Autumn isn’t complete without a visit to the one of the pumpkin farms in the Chicago Suburbs! Picture this – amongst the many rows of vibrant orange pumpkins, guests eagerly make their way through in the crisp air in order to carefully select the perfect one to take home. Through the field, bursts of laughter can be heard as kids compete to find the largest or even “ugliest” pumpkin.

All Seasons Orchard

Pick out the perfect pumpkin at All Seasons Orchard in northern Illinois. They have a 10 acre patch or choose an already picked pumpkin at their Pumpkin Station. Bengston’s Pumpkin Farm

Bengston’s Pumpkin Farm has been selling their pumpkin crop for four decades. While you’re searching for the perfect pumpkin, they even have wheelbarrows available for the convenience of their guests. Admission includes unlimited access to all the rides and activities.

Bronkberry Farms

Tucked away in a rural residential neighborhood, Bronkberry Farms has a U- pick pumpkin patch (free admission) & pre-picked pumpkins as well as a greenhouse, market and general store with other seasonal offerings.

The Children’s Farm at The Center

The Children’s Farm has a Pumpkin Playland! Visitors are able to do self-guided tours of the farm as well as enjoy hayrack rides, pet and groom the farm animals, check out the U-Pick pumpkin patch and more!

Cody’s Farm & Orchard has fun for the whole family. They offer free admission, free parking, free kids area, and free hayrides to the pumpkin patch. A bundled wristband gives visitors access to a 5 acre corn maze, barrel rides and more.

Sugar Grove Pumpkin Farm

Sugar Grove, IL

Sugar Grove Pumpkin Farm focuses on fall décor and over 100 pumpkin and gourd varieties. While there are no U-Pick fields, additional activities are available for kids 12 and under including a corn maze, sack races and more.

Tom and Zach’s Pumpkin Patch

Lockport, IL

Tom & Zach’s is a small family farm with about 3/4 acres of pumpkins. There is no admission fee as you walk through the field on the hunt for the perfect pumpkin.  They have wagons and cutters to help you cut the pumpkins off the stem. And, don’t miss the props and photo-ops around the farm!

Von Bergen’s Country Market

Von Bergen’s has a beautiful display of already picked pumpkins available or you’re able to pick them yourself. On the weekends their tractor and wagon takes guests out to the pumpkin field. The farm is full of adventure from a scavenger hunt to a 6-acre corn maze and pedal tractor track to barrel train rides.

Whether you’re looking for a pie pumpkin, a carving pumpkin, or a non-traditional pumpkin, Yaeger’s Farm Market has them all! Their selection includes a wide variety of colors (orange, white, blue, green, yellow, black, and red) and sizes – ranging from 5 pounds to over 50 pounds. Free hayrides to the hidden pumpkin patch are offered every Saturday and Sunday in October.
