Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly adventure or a backdrop for your summer photos, these sunflower fields offer a delightful experience.

        Many of these locations even allow you to pick your own sunflowers, creating lasting memories of your sun-soaked day. You can even save the seeds to plant some of your own next year!         Please note, each field will bloom at a different depending on the soil, amount of rain, planting time, etc. And, the expected to bloom time fluctuates from year to year and even day to day.         Heap’s Giant Pumpkin Farm

        Minooka, IL

        Enjoy over 9 acres of sunflowers, zinnias and other flowers to take photos, cut your own flowers to take home and enjoy the other activities on the farm!

        Expected to Bloom: Late August to Mid September

         

        Keller’s Farmstand

        Oswego, IL

        Acres of sunflower blooms for you to wander. Your ticket also grants you access to two grassy labyrinths to explore, Keller’s Summer Playground, and one free sunflower bloom to pick yourself.

        Kuipers Family Farm

        Maple Park, IL

        Over 7 acres of 20+ different sunflower varieties and colorful zinnias in the fields.

        M&D Farms

        Homer Glen, IL

        In addition to a sprawling field of sunflowers, you can enjoy a corn maze and 3 small butterfly gardens.

        McDonald Farm

        Naperville, IL

        The Conservation Foundation located at McDonald Farm along Knoch Knolls Road in Naperville has a large sunflower patch each year to help feed bees and birds.

        Matthiessen State Park

        Oglesby, IL

        Over 25 years ago, the sunflower field was planted for dove hunting and has now blossomed into a 60 acre attraction. Note: No sunflowers may be picked. 

        Expected to Bloom: Mid July to Mid August – 2023 season ended

         

        Richardson Adventure Farm

        Spring Grove, IL

        The sunflower field has been planted with intricate trails throughout the entire 13 acre field. You’ll find 24 unique varieties including the traditional big yellow- headed ones, bright red multi-branched plants, and even orange, peach and gold blossoms!

        Tom’s Farm Market

        Huntley, IL

        Walk through our 4 acres of sunflowers with fun photo ops along the way. You’ll also have access to a small children’s play area making it a fun day for the whole family!

        Von Bergen’s Country Market

        Hebron, IL

        With over 30 acres of sunflowers, you’re sure to find the perfect photo op. They also have a sunflower maze to  – don’t get lost!
